Christmas Table Topper

I saw this pattern at a quilt show in Portland the week or so before Thanksgiving.  I figured it would be easy to do.  It was actually a tree skirt, but I decided to make it a table topper and filled in the circle in the middle.

The topper measures 50" diameter.  I used 9 different Christmas fabrics for the big circle, plus another for the binding and fill circle.  I used another Christmas print for the backing.  You basically just cut 36 10 degree wedges to make it.  The center circle is 6" diameter.

I quilted a wide / loose S curve in each wedge and a spiral in the center with a red/green/cream variegated thread.
