I had a bunch of flannel left over from various projects, as well as a bunch of batting. Back in January 2016, I cut most of them into squares for rag quilts, and with some snow days and Christmas vacation, put them together to make 12 quilts. Each quilt is made of 80 blocks - 8 wide and 10 long. The blocks were 6" square sewn with 1/2" seams to finish at 5". They were fairly easy to make, but took a LONG time to cut the fringe. I donated 3 to the local police department (they only 'had room' for 3) and the other 9 to the local pregnancy center.
