Rose Braid

I've wanted to make a French Braid quilt for a while.  I got this fabric as a Mother's Day gift from Derek & Jenn a couple years ago (well, they gave me a gift certificate to a quilt store, and I got this fabric).  I bought several coordinating prints and decided to use two for this quilt.

The quilt measures 68 1/2" x 92 1/2". The borders and the separator is from a striped fabric, cut lengthwise.  I thought it worked perfectly.  I used the coordinating / matching fabrics for the centers and setting triangles at the ends.  I used 12 different greens in shades from cream to dark for the braids with the center of the dark pink - thought it gives a floral look.

I quilted an edge to edge roses and leaves in green thread.
